When considering a scenic drive through Smoky Mountains, know that you will see all of the beauty the Park has to offer in a much different way than hiking. Hiking isn’t for everyone and when taking a scenic drive, you can see the beauty of the Smokies in a similar way…you’ll just be enjoying from the comfort of your vehicle.

Make a day out of your trip and turn it into a Smoky Mountains road trip.  There are several Great Smoky Mountain scenic drives to take so hitting them all in a day would ensure your experience all aspects of the park fully.  Two of the most popular scenic drives are the Cades Cove scenic loop and the Roaring Fork Motor Trail.

Beyond the Cades Coves scenic loop and the Roaring Fork Motor Trail, simply drivng through the National Park is a scenic drive in and of itself.  The majority of the main roads within the Park run next to the Little Pigeon River. It is a stunning view and offers the sound of a rushing river everyone loves.  Drive with your windows down and take in all of the beauty the Smokies have to offer!
